1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MuzigoFinder platform, including our website at muzigofinder.co.ug, mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

The Platform is operated by MuzigoFinder Uganda Limited, a company incorporated in Uganda (Company Reg No: 80034035053471), with its registered office at Ndundu Complex, Kisaasi Road, Kampala, Uganda.

By creating an account or using any feature of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

2. Eligibility

To use MuzigoFinder, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Ugandan law
• Not be prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law or court order
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. For Tenants

As a tenant on MuzigoFinder, you may browse listings and book property visits. By booking a visit, you agree to the following:

• You will attend the scheduled visit at the agreed time, or cancel at least 12 hours in advance
• You will not circumvent the Platform to avoid paying the connection fee — e.g. by contacting a landlord found on MuzigoFinder without completing a booking
• You will treat landlords with respect during all visits
• You will not share access to your account with any other person
• You acknowledge that listings are provided by independent landlords, and MuzigoFinder verifies but does not guarantee their accuracy

MuzigoFinder does not act as a party to any rental agreement between tenants and landlords. Any tenancy agreement is solely between you and the landlord.

4. For Landlords

By listing a property on MuzigoFinder, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the legal owner or authorised agent for the property listed
• All listing information (photos, price, amenities, location) is accurate and not misleading
• The property is legally available for rent under Ugandan law
• You will not request payments from tenants outside the MuzigoFinder platform
• You will cooperate with MuzigoFinder staff during scheduled listing inspections
• You will respond to booking requests within 48 hours

MuzigoFinder reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms, contains false information, or receives verified complaints from tenants, without prior notice to the landlord.

5. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviours are strictly prohibited on MuzigoFinder:

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, permanent ban, removal of all listings, and referral to the Uganda Police Force where criminal conduct is suspected.

6. Payments

All payments on MuzigoFinder are processed by Pesapal, a licensed payment service provider regulated by the Bank of Uganda. Accepted payment methods include MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, Visa, and Mastercard.

• The UGX 25,000 connection fee is charged at the time of booking confirmation
• MuzigoFinder does not store card details — all payment data is handled by Pesapal
• Any rental deposit or monthly rent is agreed and paid directly between tenant and landlord
• MuzigoFinder is not liable for failed transactions due to insufficient funds or network issues
• Disputed charges must be raised within 48 hours via info@muzigofinder.co.ug

7. Limitation of Liability

MuzigoFinder provides a marketplace platform. We are not a party to any tenancy agreement, and we do not own, manage, or control any listed properties.

To the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, MuzigoFinder shall not be liable for:

• Any loss arising from reliance on listing information provided by landlords
• Damage to property or personal injury during property viewings
• Failure of a landlord or tenant to honour their commitments
• Loss of income, business, or opportunity arising from Platform downtime
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you in any circumstances shall not exceed the amount you paid to MuzigoFinder in the 12 months preceding the claim (i.e., the connection fees paid).

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the MuzigoFinder Platform — including the name, logo, design, code, copy, and data structures — is the exclusive property of MuzigoFinder Uganda Limited and is protected under Ugandan and international intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent. Landlords grant MuzigoFinder a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display their listing content (photos, descriptions, pricing) on the Platform and in promotional materials.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

Before initiating any legal action, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days. MuzigoFinder also supports referral to the Uganda Arbitration Centre for commercial disputes.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. When material changes are made, we will:

• Display a notice on the Platform for at least 14 days before the change takes effect
• Email registered users with a summary of key changes
• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page

Your continued use of MuzigoFinder after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree, you may close your account at any time from Account Settings.
